Great basket! Holds at least 2 cups of rice, maybe 3. Bottom is solid; you tip it to let water drain out of the small perforations opposite the side with a lip, so you can keep a good grip on it. The holes are nice and small. No worrying about any rice grains slipping through. I can think of plenty of other things you can rinse with it, veggies as well as grains like quinoa, etc. I like the oval shape. Much easier to manage than a round sieve, and it holds more than even a large sieve. (Which is what I had been using.) it’s good, solid plastic, not too rigid, and easy to wash.

When I washed the rice, I was bothered to water it and seed it again a few times. I feel comfortable with this now. When it’s complicated, things like Joe can flow down, so you have to use it carefully. I said a few things like Joe, but I recommend living.
